[Tesla abandons "autonomous driving" naming to win European regulatory approval] October 9th, Tesla is downplaying the name Full Self-Driving (fully autonomous assisted driving) in order to win approval of its driving assistance system in Europe and distance itself from this name that has long been criticized as misleading. In recent days, Tesla has started using the name "Tesla Assisted Driving" on its European website. At the same time, its US website still refers to this technology as "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)", which means "fully automated assisted driving (subject to driving supervision)".
