[United Nations Secretary-General Condemns U.S. Sanctions on the International Criminal Court] October 10th, United Nations Secretary-General Guterres issued a statement through his spokesperson on the 9th, condemning the United States’ announcement of “imposing sanctions on the entire institution of the International Criminal Court.” He pointed out that the U.S. decision will seriously hinder international criminal justice, and expressed serious concern that sanctions may affect the International Criminal Court’s continued performance of its duties.
