The State Administration for Market Regulation stated that the review efficiency of the “Simplified Case Review System for Concentration of Undertakings” specially established for mergers and acquisitions that are unlikely to create competition issues has continued to improve over the past 12 years since its implementation. Since the beginning of this year, nearly 89% of unconditional approval cases have passed the simplified procedure review, and the average review time has been shortened from 39.9 days in 2014 to 18.6 days.
