[Three companies were required to make rectifications if they contained words such as "financial holding" without approval] On October 10, the Tibet Financial Supervision Bureau recently issued a public notice that finance is a franchise industry and must be operated with a license. According to relevant regulations such as the "Decision of the State Council on Implementing Access Management of Financial Holding Companies" (Guofa [2020] No. 4), registration as a financial holding company is not allowed without approval, and words such as "financial holding", "financial group" and "financial holding" are not allowed to be used in the company name. In order to strictly control financial access, maintain the order of the financial market, and strengthen the source control of illegal financial activities, in accordance with the national unified deployment requirements, the Tibet Financial Supervision Bureau, together with the market supervision department, conducted a comprehensive survey of financial business entities within its jurisdiction, and conducted comprehensive research and judgment. It was determined that there are three operating entities in Tibet whose names contain the words "financial holding", "financial group" and "financial holding" without approval, namely: 1. Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone Yixing Financial Holding Investment Co., Ltd.; 2. Tibet Financial Holding Information Service Co., Ltd.; 3. Tibet Financial Holding Fund Management Co., Ltd.
The Tibet Financial Supervision Bureau requires the three companies to voluntarily apply to the market supervision department to cancel or change their names and business scopes within 3 months from the date of public announcement. The changed names and business scopes shall not include "financial holding", "financial group", "financial holding" and other unauthorized financial-related words. For business entities on the list that have not actively canceled or changed their names and business scopes on schedule, the Tibet Financial Supervision Bureau will work with relevant departments to take further regulatory measures.
