This will further improve product safety performance and promote high-quality development of the automotive industry. The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that the draft for comments put forward various requirements in response to problems such as the launch of new products by some manufacturing companies following the trend and insufficient testing and verification. In terms of innovative design access management, the notice clarifies that starting from January 1, 2027, new applied products involving innovative designs should fill in additional innovative design technical parameters, and strengthen safety and environmental protection assessments in accordance with the "Technical Guidelines for Automotive Product Innovative Design"; if the requirements are not tested and verified, the test verification is insufficient, or false materials are provided, the announcement will not be made. For products that have been notified, relevant technical parameters and verification materials should be submitted before July 1, 2027. If there are safety hazards beyond the deadline, production should be stopped and a recall implemented. The notice also clearly states that fully hidden door handles are prohibited, and folding displays and flexible displays are not allowed. Relevant innovative designs must be fully tested and verified to ensure safety and reliability. In terms of R&D testing and verification, the notice requires that newly applied products should complete testing and verification of comprehensive reliability and durability, structural reliability, software function reliability, environmental adaptability, heating and cooling, protective performance and sealing in accordance with the "Technical Specifications for Automotive Product R&D Testing and Verification".
