[Attack on mining area in northern Sudan kills 72 people] On October 12, a Sudanese civil society organization issued a statement saying that a gold mining area in the North Wadi area in northern Sudan near the Egyptian border suffered a large-scale air attack on the 10th, killing 72 miners. The statement said relevant parties were still conducting further statistics on casualties. The statement blamed the Egyptian Air Force for carrying out the airstrike.
