[Indonesia launches Southeast Asia’s largest photovoltaic plan] On August 28, Indonesian President Prabowo officially announced the launch of a 100GW (gigawatt) photovoltaic power generation construction plan, with the goal of completion within three years. The 100GW photovoltaic plan is expected to have a total investment of approximately US$73 billion (IDR 1,140 trillion) and create approximately 5.52 million jobs. After the plan is realized, it is expected to save Indonesia more than approximately 4.7 billion U.S. dollars in energy expenses, save approximately 6 billion liters of diesel, and reduce approximately 140 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
