[Goldman Sachs raises its December Brent crude oil price forecast to US$90 per barrel] On October 12, Goldman Sachs raised its December Brent crude oil price forecast by US$5 to US$90 per barrel, citing rising supply risks in the Middle East. The bank maintained its forecast for the average price of Brent crude oil in 2027 at $80 per barrel. Goldman Sachs analysts said that the gradual adjustment of supply in the Middle East may eventually push oil prices back down, but if the regional situation escalates again, it will still bring significant upward risks. Persian Gulf crude oil exports (including crude oil shipped privately) have returned to the 2025 average level, and the global oil market was roughly in balance between supply and demand in September. However, supply risks, low inventories, physical replenishment needs and financial hedging needs still support oil prices.
