The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in the fields of industry and information technology. Xiong Jijun said that Macao is rich in innovation resources, has an open scientific research environment and has strong development potential. Relying on the unique advantages of "one country, two systems", Macao plays an increasingly important role in China's opening-up strategy. It is hoped that the two sides will maintain close communication, strengthen demand docking, and jointly plan and implement the cooperation results around the signed "Cooperation Agreement on Developing New Productivity and Promoting New Industrialization" to support Macao to better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country. Wu Huixian said that the Macao SAR government has officially released the "Third Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (2026-2030)" and will proactively seize important development opportunities and promote the moderate diversification of Macao's economy within the overall development of the national undertaking.
