[Agency: Quantum computing revenue is expected to reach US$1.1 billion in 2027] "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" reported on the 12th that Gartner released a forecast for quantum computing, believing that the annual revenue in this field will reach US$1.1 billion in 2027, crossing the billion-dollar threshold for the first time. The global quantum computing market is expected to reach US$869.9 million this year, a year-on-year growth of 22.9%; and the banking, finance, and insurance industries are expected to surpass the public sector as the largest source of quantum computing spending in 2028. The agency believes that the quantum computing market is "oversaturated" and companies that cannot achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing as soon as possible will no longer be favored. As a result, more than half of quantum computing startups will be forced out of business by 2030 as viable commercial revenue dries up.
