On October 12, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that in September 2026, China's automobile production and sales completed 2.99 million units and 2.956 million units respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 8.7% and 8.4% respectively. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 1.814 million and 1.823 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 12.2% and 13.6% respectively.
