[Shanghai second-hand housing sales exceeded 1,600 in a single day online] October 13th, with the implementation of a series of home purchase support policies and the arrival of the traditional peak season for home buying, the Shanghai property market's "Golden Nine and Silver Ten" recovery trend continues to consolidate. According to "Online Real Estate" data from the official website of the Shanghai Real Estate Trading Center, on October 11 (Sunday), 1,615 units of Shanghai's second-hand housing (including commercial) were sold online in a single day, setting a new high for single-day transactions in the second half of 2026. This is also the third time this year that Shanghai’s second-hand housing online signings exceeded 1,600 units in a single day, second only to the year’s high of 1,664 units on May 10 and 1,632 units on April 11. Judging from the monthly trends, the resilience of Shanghai's second-hand housing market continues to show. Since March this year, Shanghai’s second-hand housing transaction volume has stood at more than 23,000 units for the seventh consecutive month, of which the online signing volume of second-hand housing units in March exceeded 31,000 units. At the beginning of the "Silver Ten" period, the National Day holiday serves as a critical window period for home buyers to focus on viewing and selecting properties and for real estate companies to focus on marketing. It is also an important weather vane for observing the effectiveness of the implementation of property market policies. (The Paper)
