[The National Development and Reform Commission organized a special meeting of the Central Regional Office to coordinate and promote key issues in the development of the western region] October 13th. Recently, Comrade Wang Changlin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, chaired a special meeting of the Central Regional Office. At the meeting, the Regional Department of the National Development and Reform Commission introduced the progress of the implementation of relevant documents. The four provinces and regions including Guizhou, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Inner Mongolia respectively reported matters that need to be studied and coordinated. Relevant departments of the State Council and relevant departments and bureaus of the National Development and Reform Commission communicated on research and coordination matters. The meeting called for the thorough implementation of the Party Central Committee’s decisions and arrangements, an accurate understanding of the positioning and mission of the Western Development in promoting Chinese-style modernization, and support for the four provinces and regions to promote high-quality development in accordance with local conditions. It is necessary to strengthen the coordination of policies and measures, further intensify implementation efforts in light of the new situation and new requirements during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, and provide stronger support for the development of the western region in the new era.
