[China's Mineral Resources Reclassification "Family Assets" "Mineral Resources Catalog" Released] On October 13th, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Development and Reform Commission released the "Mineral Resources Catalog" today, which further clarifies the number of mineral types in China and will become the basic basis for China's mineral resources planning. The "Mineral Resources Catalog" released this time has been optimized and adjusted based on the original "Mineral Resources Classification Detailed". It divides China's mineral resources into four categories: energy minerals, metal minerals, non-metallic minerals and water and gas minerals. It clarifies that there are 174 mineral species and 119 sub-mineral species in China. The Ministry of Natural Resources emphasized that by establishing a mineral resource catalog and "registering" mineral resources, it will support the formulation of exploration and development indicators for different mineral types, optimize layout, guide the direction of mineral exploration and the setting of mining rights. On this basis, select strategic minerals to implement a special protection system, and formulate differentiated exploration, mining, reserves, import and export policies, etc. The Ministry of Natural Resources stated that the next step will be to promote the connection between the "Catalogue" and management links such as mineral resource planning, mining rights management, industrial policy formulation, mineral resource statistics, and resource tax and fee collection, so that each type of minerals has a clear "identity" and consolidate the foundation for refined management of mineral resources.
