[China Securities Association clarifies cross-border risk data management requirements for securities firms and the impact of personal information exports must be assessed] On October 13, the China Securities Association recently released the "Securities Business Demonstration Practice No. 7 - Risk Data Management of Securities Companies", which aims to standardize and guide the risk data management work of securities firms and improve the industry's risk data management capabilities. The document puts forward suggested requirements for cross-border data security management. Brokerages with cross-border subsidiaries need to conduct a cross-border assessment of data type, scale, transmission path, etc. if data is exported abroad; if personal information is exported abroad, a personal information impact assessment needs to be conducted; if data is imported, an assessment needs to be carried out in accordance with the laws and regulations of the country and region where the cross-border subsidiary is located to ensure the legal compliance of data entry. Faced with regulatory differences at home and abroad, securities firms can promptly identify and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes in various regions on cross-border data through the dynamic assessment mechanism of domestic and overseas compliance differences.
