[South Korea announces large-scale relocation plan for core government departments] On October 13, South Korea’s Ministry of Administration and Security announced on the 13th that core government departments such as South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Unification, and Ministry of National Defense will move from the capital Seoul to Sejong Special Autonomous City no later than 2031. This government agency relocation plan will affect nearly 10,000 civil servants.
