[Morgan Asset Management: Investors’ allocation to emerging market bonds and stocks is low] On October 14, Ian Staley, chief investment officer of global fixed income international at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said that investors’ allocation to emerging markets is low and the valuations of emerging markets are attractive, especially compared to some developed markets. "I don't think people are holding enough positions in emerging markets, and our equity team shares the same view," he said at a symposium at the Fixed Income Leaders Summit in Antibes on Wednesday. Staley said that JP Morgan Asset Management's analysis of local currency asset flows in emerging markets shows that although related allocations have rebounded slightly, they are still below pre-epidemic levels. He added that the “fundamental situation of emerging markets is indeed improving” and the fixed income sector’s “valuation is not as high as that of some developed markets”; “Among our various investment portfolios, emerging markets are one of our most optimistic allocation directions.”
