[GlobalFoundries US stocks rose nearly 6% in early trading] On October 14th, GlobalFoundries plans to build two new chip factories in New York State, and the Japanese government will provide financial support of up to US$21 billion. As part of the agreement, the U.S. government will also receive approximately 4% of GlobalFoundries' equity. As of press time, GlobalFoundries' U.S. stocks were up nearly 6% in early trading.
