[The first batch of cross-border centralized transactions of green certificates in the country were concluded, and a total of about 100,000 green certificates were sold] The first batch of cross-border centralized transactions of green certificates in the country (Hong Kong) were concluded in Guangzhou on October 14. A total of about 100,000 green certificates were sold in this centralized transaction, corresponding to nearly 100 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, marking the large-scale implementation of China’s renewable energy Green Electricity Certificate (GEC) in the Hong Kong market and opening up channels to connect the mainland green certificate market and Hong Kong’s international green financial market. It is a landmark practice for China’s green certificates to “go global” and the collaborative innovation of green energy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
