[Perplexity will open source its AI security software] On October 16, Semafor quoted company sources as reporting that AI search vendor Perplexity will convert its AI security software to open source. The company's "AI sandbox" called SPACE is now an open source project, allowing outside developers to freely use the tool. Perplexity has connected with many partners such as CoreWeave, Akamai, and Crusoe, and these manufacturers have agreed to provide SPACE tools to their customers.
