[19 people injured in collision between passenger car and train at the French entrance of the Channel Tunnel] On October 16, a traffic accident occurred at the entrance of the Channel Tunnel in the Pas-de-Calais province in northern France. A freight train collided with a passenger car. Preliminary statistics show that 19 people were injured in the accident, 5 of whom were seriously injured. There are currently no reports of anyone in critical condition. The emergency and fire departments rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
