[Trump says Zelensky does not want to solve the Ukraine crisis] October 16th, U.S. President Trump said on the 15th local time that Ukrainian President Zelensky “does not want to solve” the Ukraine crisis and is not worthy of the United States to deal with. It is more difficult to reach an agreement with Zelensky than with Russian President Putin. In an interview at the White House that day, Trump said, "Zelensky is not a good person worth dealing with... He said he wanted to solve (the Ukraine crisis), but that is not the case." Trump said that he was "not a big fan of Zelensky, they destroyed that country." When talking about Ukraine's resumption of attacks on Russian refineries, Trump said that the United States and the world need diesel. "When you attack refineries that produce diesel, you are doing something that is not good for the world." When asked whether the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would end before he leaves office, Trump expressed optimism that Russia and Ukraine would reach an agreement, saying, "This war should be over soon, and I think both sides actually want to see it end." But he expressed doubts about Zelensky's willingness to negotiate and said he was more difficult to deal with than Putin. (CCTV News)
