On October 16th, Indonesian officials stated that after MSCI issued an announcement that it planned to remove Indonesia from emerging markets, the Indonesian Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor and relevant capital market officials will hold a meeting today to assess the impact of the incident on the stock market, exchange rate and cross-border capital flows, and to discuss measures to stabilize the market.
