[Approval and release of mandatory national standards for lithium batteries for electric motorcycles to be implemented from July next year] On October 16, the State Administration for Market Regulation approved the release of the mandatory national standard "Safety Requirements for Lithium-Ion Batteries for Electric Motorcycles and Electric Mopeds", which will be implemented from July 1, 2027. After this revision, the original recommended standards will be updated and upgraded to mandatory standards. The release and implementation of this standard will further improve the safety performance of lithium-ion battery products for electric motorcycles and electric mopeds, effectively protect the travel safety and legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and build a solid safety barrier for short-distance travel.
