[GCC condemns Yemen’s Houthi armed forces’ attack on Saudi Arabia] October 19th, the 168th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, on the 18th. A communiqué was issued on the day of the meeting, which strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia by the Houthi armed forces in Yemen and emphasized that the security of member states under the GCC's "Mutual Defense Agreement" is indivisible. The communiqué stated that the GCC member states stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard national sovereignty, security and interests. The communiqué called for the implementation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions on Yemen and the Houthi armed forces, and the strict implementation of the arms embargo against the Houthi armed forces.
