[Toyota will invest US$44 million to produce fuel cell pickup trucks in Thailand] On October 19, it was reported that the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) stated that Toyota Motor Company plans to invest 1.49 billion baht (approximately US$44 million) to produce fuel cell pickup trucks in Thailand for the first time. The agency said Toyota's new production facility at its Chachoengsao plant will have an annual production capacity of 3,000 fuel cell pickup trucks. The vehicles will be exported to Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The facility is expected to begin commercial production in December 2027. The Thailand Investment Promotion Board has approved tax incentives for the project.
