[South Korean financial regulator: SK Hynix’s Solidigm may violate “dual listing” restrictions when listed in the U.S.] On October 19, South Korea’s financial regulator said on Monday that SK Hynix’s U.S. subsidiary Solidigm may violate “dual listing” restrictions if it is listed. Lee Chan-jin, director of the Korean Financial Supervisory Service, said that Korean regulators are studying whether Solidigm needs to be reviewed under Korean domestic regulations if it conducts an IPO in the United States. When asked how regulators would protect the interests of minority shareholders of parent company SK Hynix if Solidigm were listed, Lee Chan-jin replied: "We have been paying close attention to this matter... The Korean Financial Commission and we both believe that this is a violation of the relevant regulations of 'dual listing'."
