[Chengdu Releases Draft for Comments on Adjustments to Traffic Management Measures for Pickup Trucks] On October 19th, the Traffic Management Bureau of Chengdu Public Security Bureau, Sichuan Province issued a notice soliciting opinions on the "Notice on Adjustments to Traffic Management Measures for Light Multi-Purpose Trucks (Pickup Trucks) in Chengdu (Draft for Comments)". The draft for comments proposes that vehicles whose "vehicle type" is registered as "light multi-purpose trucks" on their motor vehicle driving licenses are not subject to truck bans and traffic restrictions within the administrative region of Chengdu. Light multi-purpose trucks must implement tail number restrictions in accordance with the traffic management measures of "last number restrictions" for small and micro passenger vehicles; highly polluting light multi-purpose trucks are subject to traffic bans and restrictions in accordance with traffic control measures for highly polluting small and micro passenger vehicles; during heavy pollution weather warning periods, relevant tail number restrictions shall be implemented for light multi-purpose trucks.
