[Weighing only 1 gram, Chinese scientists develop the world's lightest wireless mesoscopic microscope] On October 20, Chinese scientists developed the world's lightest wireless mesoscopic microscope, which weighs only 1 gram. It can record neural activity in the mouse cerebral cortex with single-cell resolution within a 6 mm field of view. A single mouse can record more than 8,500 neurons at the same time, which is 25 times more than existing equipment of the same type. The results were published online in Nature on October 19.
