Yang Zhigang, deputy director and spokesperson of the Provincial Bureau of Statistics, introduced Sichuan's economic situation in the first three quarters of 2026. In the first three quarters, the added value of industries above designated size in the province increased by 6.7% year-on-year, 0.3 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year. Since the second half of the year, with the effectiveness of various macro policies, the acceleration of the transformation of traditional industries, and the steady expansion of new driving forces, industrial production has accelerated month by month, with an increase of 7.8% in September. The average monthly growth rate in the third quarter reached 7.5%, faster than the first and second quarters, demonstrating strong growth resilience.
