[Bank of America launches perpetual bond issuance, the second bond issuance within days] On October 20, Bank of America launched the second investment-grade bond issuance within days. After raising US$8 billion last week, it will issue perpetual bonds. People familiar with the matter said the bonds could be redeemed as early as five years later, and the yield range initially discussed was 7.5% to 7.625%. Bank of America issued $2.5 billion of similar notes in July 2025, with a yield of 6.25% at that time. On October 16, Bank of America issued a rare $8 billion in high-rated bonds on Friday. After a week of turmoil in the credit market that disrupted the financing plans of many borrowers, the bank still chose to enter the market to issue bonds. Since the beginning of this year, Bank of America has issued US$25 billion in investment-grade bonds.
