[COP31 is about to be held and China will actively promote the international negotiation process on climate change] October 21st, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office this morning (21st), Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment Li Gao introduced that China will organize a delegation to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP31, which is the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held in Antalya, Turkey from November 9th to 20th, and will actively promote the international negotiation process on climate change. The United Nations Climate Change Conference is the main channel and platform for the international community to cooperate to address the challenges of global climate change. According to reports, the COP31 conference will carry out negotiations and consultations on nearly 100 issues related to mitigation, adaptation, funding, and just transition related to the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.
