[Iran says three oil tankers hit mines in Hormuz] Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on October 20 that an illegally sailing supertanker exploded and caught fire after hitting a mine in the southern Strait of Hormuz. Earlier in the day, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that two "violating" oil tankers hit mines laid by its naval forces in the Strait of Hormuz, causing the ships to explode and catch fire and to force them to stop sailing. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that attempting to cross the strait to lay mines is "illegal" and will result in the assets of "violators" being burned. If the United States continues such "malicious acts", oil companies will face even more painful consequences. (CCTV International News)
