[Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation Liu Guiping met with Anthony Whelan, Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition] On October 21, Liu Guiping, Director-General of the State Administration for Market Regulation, met with Anthony Whelan, Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, and his delegation. The two sides exchanged views on the latest progress in anti-monopoly legislation and law enforcement between China and the EU, as well as China-EU anti-monopoly cooperation, and stated that they will deepen cooperation in competition policy and anti-monopoly law enforcement to jointly safeguard the order of fair competition in the international market. On the same day, Deputy Director General Shu Wei and Anthony Whelan held a dialogue on the 2026 China-EU Competition Policy Dialogue and Fair Competition Review and State Aid Control System.
