[Venezuela’s ruling party condemns the U.S.’s issuance of an arrest warrant for Raul Castro] On October 22, Venezuela’s ruling party, the United Socialist Party, condemned the U.S. state of Florida’s issuance of an arrest warrant for Cuban revolutionary leader Raul Castro on the 21st, believing it to be an “intimidation tactic.” The United Socialist Party issued a communiqué on social media saying that the US approach lacks legal basis, violates basic principles of international law, and aims to undermine Cuba's sovereignty. The communique called for respect for Cuba's sovereignty and an immediate end to the blockade against Cuba. (CCTV News)
