[Merck’s New Indication for Besutifant Tablets Approved in China] On October 22, Merck announced that its hypoxia-inducible factor 2α (HIF-2α) inhibitor Veliri® (besutifant tablets) has been approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the treatment of adolescent and adult patients aged 12 years and above with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma (PPGL).
