[Midland Realty: Hong Kong's first-hand residential transactions in August increased 34% month-on-month to 1,090, and the number of 100-million-dollar luxury homes exceeded the whole of last year] On September 1, Ma Taiyang, CEO of Midland Group and executive director of Midland Realty, said that as the consolidation period of the Hong Kong property market gradually comes to an end, the market atmosphere has improved, residential transactions have improved, and the first-hand transaction volume has increased in August. The primary transaction volume was in the thousands, recording approximately 1,090 transactions, a month-on-month increase of approximately 34%, and a three-month high; the transaction amount was approximately HK$15.82 billion, a month-on-month increase of approximately 40%, reflecting a significant recovery in the trading atmosphere in the new market. In the first eight months of this year, the number of primary transactions exceeding HK$100 million has risen to 107, which not only increased significantly by more than 1.27 times from 47 in the same period last year, but also exceeded the level of 101 for the whole of last year.
