[Reportedly: Calpers reduced its holdings on seven U.S. giants in the first half of the year and switched to private equity] On October 23, it was reported that the California pension giant was reducing its holdings on large U.S. technology companies and instead increased its exposure to private equity. The deputy investment chief of the California Public Employees' Pension Management Agency (Calpers) pointed out that the agency has reduced its holdings in seven major technology giants and transferred them to hundreds of companies to diversify stock risks. Documents show that in the first half of 2026, the fund will cut its direct holdings of the "Seven Big U.S. stocks" by a total of 26%.
