[Cathay Haitong plans to use no more than 670 million yuan of its own funds to subscribe and hold active ETFs for the long term] On October 23, reporters learned that Cathay Haitong plans to use no more than 670 million yuan of its own funds to subscribe for active ETFs under Wells Fargo Fund, Morgan Fund, E Fund, Huaan Fund, Southern Asset Management and other fund companies. Today, 259 million yuan has been subscribed, and subsequent investments will be completed during the initial fundraising period of each product. Cathay Haitong stated that this investment and long-term holding of the above-mentioned active ETFs with its own funds aims to demonstrate the company's full confidence in the long-term, healthy and stable development of China's capital market with practical actions. Market participants pointed out that active ETFs are innovative products of public funds, and the participation of securities firms' own funds this time will help provide support for product issuance and also convey the institution's positive judgment on the value of medium- and long-term allocations in the capital market.
