[Moody's Maintains France's Sovereign Credit Rating and Negative Outlook] On October 24, the international credit rating agency Moody's Ratings announced on the 23rd that it would maintain France's sovereign credit rating of Aa3 unchanged, and the rating outlook remained at "negative". Moody's said in a statement that the prerequisite for maintaining the Aa3 rating is that France can pass a 2027 budget that will help reduce the fiscal deficit, as well as financing costs falling and social unrest easing in the coming months. Previously, the market generally expected Moody's to downgrade France's rating to be equivalent to the ratings currently given to France by Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor's. French Prime Minister Le Corny welcomed Moody's maintenance of France's rating that day. He said that the French government will strive to pass the 2027 budget before the end of this year to achieve the goal of reducing the fiscal deficit rate to 5%.
