[The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a roundtable meeting on international cooperation in the automotive industry] October 26th, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on October 21st, during the 2026 World Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Conference, Xin Guobin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over a roundtable meeting on international cooperation in the automotive industry. Nearly 50 representatives from government departments, embassies in China, international institutions and industry organizations from 12 countries and regions including Malaysia, Egypt, South Korea, Australia, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom attended the meeting. Xin Guobin said that intelligent connected vehicles are driving profound changes in automobile product forms, energy consumption structures, and transportation modes. Major automobile countries around the world have accelerated their strategic layout, strengthened technology research and development and demonstration applications, improved policies, regulations and standards, and created a good environment for industrial development. We are willing to work with all parties to strengthen dialogue and communication, deepen policy coordination, strengthen pragmatic cooperation, and work with global industry colleagues to build an inclusive and shared industrial ecosystem.
