[Micro neural chip monitors the impact of drugs on the brain in real time] On October 28, a joint research team led by the Korea Academy of Science and Technology developed a micro neural chip that can be implanted in the brain and can wirelessly monitor the impact of drugs on the brain in real time. In the mini-pig experiment, the research team found that after administration of the Alzheimer's disease treatment drug donepezil, brain neurotransmitter signals first increased and then gradually returned to baseline levels. This technology can help assess the effects of drugs in the brain and lead to the development of neuromodulation techniques that can adjust stimulation based on brain responses. Relevant results were published in the latest issue of Equipment magazine.
