[Fitch Ratings collectively raised the ratings of ICBC, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, and Postal Savings Bank of China] On October 28, Fitch Ratings confirmed on October 27 that the long-term foreign currency issuer default ratings of six large state-owned commercial banks, including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Postal Savings Bank of China, and Bank of Communications, were "A" with a stable outlook; at the same time, it raised the viability ratings (VR) of the six banks. Among them, ICBC, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Bank of China rose to "bbb+", Postal Savings Bank of China rose to "bbb", and Bank of Communications rose to "bbb-". According to the "Rating Definitions" issued by Fitch, the Viability Rating (VR) is used to measure the inherent credit qualification of a bank. Fitch said in its ratings reports on several banks that the viability ratings reflect the bank's business profile advantages, which support the bank's credit resilience through cycles and the continued improvement of China's banking industry operating environment. In addition, Fitch also stated in the report that it adjusted China's operating environment score from "bbb-" to "bbb" with a stable outlook. This reflects the continuous improvement of China's banking system over the past five years, and China's state-owned banks have demonstrated resilient profitability and stable asset quality. The Research Department of CICC stated in the research report that the major listed banks have relied on their high-quality customer base and risk control capabilities to consolidate asset quality indicators, and the overall performance of listed banks has remained stable.
