[Qatar’s force majeure period for LNG supply to Petronet in India is extended] On October 28, people familiar with the matter said that Petronet LNG Ltd. has received a notice from Qatar that the force majeure period for LNG cargoes has been extended to November. Petronet usually receives a force majeure notice from Qatar at the end of the month regarding supplies for the next month. Since the outbreak of the US-Iraq war in late February, Qatar has so far delivered only four cargoes of LNG to Petronet.
