[Bank of Canada: Inflation is expected to average 2.9% in 2026] On October 28, the Bank of Canada predicted that inflation would average 2.9% in 2026 and 2.5% in July; 3.1% in 2027 and 2.0% in July; and 2.2% in 2028 and 2.1% in July. Economic growth is expected to be 1.0% in 2026, compared with 0.7% in July; 2.0% in 2027, compared with 1.8% in July; and 2.0% in 2028, compared with 1.8% in July. Inflation is expected to average 2.9% in 2026, compared with 2.5% in July; 3.1% in 2027, compared with 2.0% in July; and 2.2% in 2028, compared with 2.1% in July.
