[The first batch of Fengyun satellite extreme weather AI models were released and the typhoon "physical examination report" was generated in 27 seconds] On October 29, the first batch of Fengyun satellite extreme weather artificial intelligence models were officially released at the 2026 Fengyun Satellite User Conference, promoting Fengyun satellite applications from "seeing the present clearly" to "predicting the future." The typhoon intelligent cloud image interpretation model released this time integrates Fengyun satellite multi-channel cloud images and related products, which can automatically analyze the location, structure, intensity and evolution trend of typhoons, and generate interpretation text. At present, the model has developed comprehensive interpretation capabilities covering 7 types of typhoon characteristics and integrating more than 20 kinds of satellite live products. Interpretation is performed every 15 minutes, and it only takes 27 seconds to generate interpretation text. Taking Typhoon Shuliki, No. 26 this year, as an example, after the model automatically identified the typhoon, it conducted a comprehensive analysis of the intensity, wind circle radius, precipitation characteristics, etc., to provide support for monitoring and forecasting.
