[Microsoft CFO: Capital expenditures are expected to accelerate in the second half of fiscal 2027, with full-year capital expenditures approximately US$170 billion] October 29th, Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood said on Wednesday during the fiscal first quarter earnings conference call of fiscal 2027 that capital expenditures in the second quarter are expected to exceed US$50 billion. Therefore, full-year capital expenditures are approximately $170 billion. Due to the third-party capacity delays mentioned earlier, we currently expect capital expenditures to accelerate in the second half of the fiscal year, mainly from CPU (including higher memory and storage costs) and GPU, as well as third-party capacity delivery delayed to the second half. As we continue to improve the efficiency of our infrastructure, every dollar of capital expenditure has the potential to lead to higher revenue and returns in the future. Given our strong business performance, we expect to remain free cash flow positive in fiscal 2027. In order to supplement the cash flow generated by the business and maintain financial flexibility, we will seek additional sources of financing as we deem appropriate.
