[Organization: New MacBook Pro models enter the market and global OLED notebook shipments are expected to increase by more than 40% annually in 2027] October 29th, according to TrendForce’s latest display industry research, the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display released by Apple introduces a tandem OLED touch screen for the first time, marking an important change in MacBook display technology and operating experience. TrendForce estimates that the shipment volume of this new machine in 2027 will be between 1.2 million and 1.5 million units. Apple’s entry into the OLED notebook market has also encouraged panel manufacturers to accelerate the development of related display technologies. TrendForce estimates that even though the overall notebook market has declined in the past two years, OLED notebook shipments are still expected to increase by nearly 40% year-on-year in 2026, and will grow by more than 40% in 2027.
