Adjusted operating profit was $4.26 billion, above expectations of $4.09 billion. The machinery, energy and transportation business revenue was US$19.65 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%; the operating profit of this business was US$4.14 billion, a year-on-year increase of 38%.
