[A senior U.S. general was dismissed] October 30th, according to U.S. news on the 29th, Brett Sylvia, the U.S. Department of Defense’s senior general responsible for strategic planning, has been dismissed. The reason for the dismissal has not yet been announced. Sylvia served as director of the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate of the Joint Staff before he was dismissed, and had previously served as the commander of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. An anonymous source in the Department of Defense said that Sylvia failed three polygraph tests for allegedly leaking internal information about the Iran war and the Russia-Ukraine conflict to the media. In addition, Sylvia has a close relationship with former Army Chief of Staff Randy George, who was fired in April this year. The US military issued a statement thanking Sylvia for her 32 years of service, but later withdrew the statement. According to statistics, at least 26 senior generals of the US military have resigned since Hegseth became secretary of defense last year. (CCTV News)
